First System

PI0NEER’s first Raspberry Pi-based robotic system is currently being designed. The work is in concept: establishing a complete sense–compute–act loop before committing to a finished machine.

Overview

Problem or goal

Build a first experimental robotic system around Raspberry Pi compute — a platform that can sense, compute, and act, and that can be documented honestly from the first sketch.

Most early robotics work either stays in simulation or jumps to a finished-looking machine. First System is meant to be physical, testable, and small enough to iterate on without pretending it is already a product.
