Autonomous Systems
Machines that perceive their environment, make decisions and act independently.
Independent robotics initiative
Building machines that move, sense, think, and act.
PI0NEER is an independent robotics initiative exploring autonomous systems, embedded computing, robotics software, drones, manipulators, IoT and experimental machines — from Amman, Jordan, starting at zero.
Fields
PI0NEER explores the systems that allow machines to perceive, compute and interact with the physical world.
Machines that perceive their environment, make decisions and act independently.
Mobile robotic platforms for sensing, navigation, mapping and experimentation.
Robotic arms, grippers and mechanisms designed to interact with physical environments.
Experiments in aerial robotics, stabilization, sensing and autonomous flight.
Raspberry Pi, microcontrollers, sensors, communication systems and connected hardware.
Control systems, computer vision, autonomy, simulation and robotics software.
PI0NEER’s first Raspberry Pi-based robotic system is currently being designed. The work is in concept: establishing a complete sense–compute–act loop before committing to a finished machine.
Method
01Turn an idea into something physical.
02Measure what actually happens.
03Find the assumptions that were wrong.
04Build the next version better.
